Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Ten (10) years of full-time experience in healthcare administration with roles increasing in scope and responsibility encompassing financial management, clinical practice operations and management, and human resources.

Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Healthcare Management or Business Administration. More than ten (10) years of full-time experience in healthcare administration with roles increasing in scope and responsibility encompassing financial management, operations, and human resources. Experience working with software systems used for clinical administrative management and patient care. Experience with Clinical Integrated Networks.

Brief Description of Duties:The Executive Administrative Officer position will be responsible for all Administrative, Financial, and Strategic matters related to CPMP and UFPCs. The incumbent will serve as the principal administrative voice for CPMP, and be the main advisor on management, strategic, and administrative issues for the CPMP board. The incumbent should have a proven track record of strong leadership and administrative skills. This position will have a directly report to the Vice President of Clinical Services and have a 'dotted-line' report to the Executive Vice President of Stony Brook Medicine.

Duties :Serve as Executive Administrative Officer:

Serve as liaison to Senior Leadership on operational/administrative/financial/strategic matters related to the UFPCs, including overall personnel decisions for StaffCo and RF employees.Work collaboratively with Leadership of Stony Brook Community Medical (SBCM) and Meeting House Lane (MHL) on administrative/financial and strategic matters that which will further the mission of Stony Brook Medicine.Coordinate and collaborate with SBUH, SBSH, SBELIH, SBCM, MHL, and any other SBM clinical entity to enhance strategic alignment and reduce redundancy and inefficiency. This includes collaboration with the 5 HSC schools to ensure that the missions of research and education are part of the overall clinical programs of SBM.Collaboratively work with clinical operations, population health, physician practice, academic partners, and other system functions to ensure an integrated approach to high quality support services.Develop an integrated and strategic approach to systems, processes, and tools to enhance staff efficiency, foster further collaboration, increase reliability and confidence, and improve performance across the operations of all CPMP practices.Lead the coordinated, enterprise-wide delivery of system-level strategies to ensure consistency, efficiency and continuity across the clinical practices.Lead the effort to develop a centralized model for expense consolidation across the UFPCs to initially include Malpractice, Physician and Provider Benefits, Work with COO for Ambulatory to develop a centralized staffing model for ambulatory staff and other practice expenses that are centrally paid by CPMP.Identify areas of redundancies across the clinical enterprise where services may be consolidated and centrally managed to reduce costs and improve efficiencies (examples include - UFPC revenue cycle staff, contact centers).Lead consolidation of supply chain financial initiatives to identify potential cost savings.Lead a coordinated effort to provide and ensure customer service standards across all CPMP practices. Coordinate with SBCM and MHL to achieve system-wide customer service standards.

Provide Executive Administrative oversight for Clinical Department Administrators:

Provide day-to-day oversight of finances for clinical practices including, but not limited to: Revenue-cycle - work with Financial Integration committee to develop a centralized revenue cycle across Stony Brook Medicine and assist in the implementation of those related to the clinical practices.Monitor trends in productivity, revenue, expenses, etc.Budget variances - work with the Director of Budget & Finance (RSOM) and Director of Contract Management, Reimbursement and Analysis (UH Finance) to develop a process for real-time monthly reconciliations of Part A (i.e., Clinical Faculty Investments) between clinical departments and SBUH.Business planning - Develop and oversee an Ambulatory Business Planning group.Work with Vice Dean for Finance & Administration RSOM to ensure optimal utilization of non-clinical funds (i.e., Stony Brook Foundation, Research Foundation, and IFR).Work with Finance Governance committee to ensure and maintain optimal and compliant accounting practices.Work with department administrators and Vice President of Clinical Services to implement standardized clinical operations and scheduling for providers and staff.

Evaluate and assess finances for clinical departments:

Work with Clinical Department Administrators to assess and evaluate opportunities for centralized budget allocation of enterprise-wide activities (i.e., pre-visit planning).Optimize capital budget purchases across the CPMP (including the UFPCs), SBCM and MHL by working with the respective Procurement Officers.Include support/oversight for Budget Prep, Strategic planning, and Business plans initiatives, which include clinical faculty and staff recruitment proposals.

Provide support and oversight for clinical departments, leading to Enterprise-level clinical integration, quality management and value-based care:

Partner with Finance Governance Committee of SBM to ensure appropriate financial management and oversight of the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN).Work closely with SBM leadership to participate in the Governance of the SBM population health programs and initiatives.Provide administrative oversight to support the success of the SBM Accountable Care Organization (ACO).Provide ongoing support for the financial and operational aspects of system and regional value-based care initiatives.Provide business and operational support for partnerships and third-party relationships to achieve SBM's population health strategies and goals (ex. Vizient).Work closely with leaders from SBM CIN, its component entities, and other key partners to develop effective population health strategies and develop key performance indicators to measure success.

Other duties as assigned.

Special Notes:The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
