JOB SUMMARY :Polar Semiconductor is seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates to fill the role of Senior Systems Engineer. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing Polar's compute systems and networks.Candidate will work in coordination with a team of engineers to provide delivery of robust, secure, and highly available services in support of our World Class semiconductor manufacturing environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage, monitor and install Server Operating Systems and hardwareWorks in conjunction with cyber security team to mitigate vulnerabilities to ensure a highly secure compute environmentParticipates in on-call rotationUses PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasksImmediately responds to critical company infrastructure issuesUpgrades systems with new releases and modelsMaintains security, backup, and redundancy strategiesPrepares and compiles detailed metrics and reports for management consumptionManages hardware and software lifecyclesParticipates in project planning and incident managementSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Experience managing server hardware with Industry standard tools (HPSIM/Kace)PowerShell/Python/Power Automate scripting knowledgeExpert Linux and Windows systems administration skillsExpertise in Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Storage Array Management (Hitachi/NetApp)Solid Cloud Experience (Azure/Intune/Entra)Ability to develop and maintain technical documentationDetailed understanding of core network services (AD/DNS/DHCP)Demonstrated knowledge of network and server securityWorking knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts and practicesOracle and SQL Db managementExperience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Expert knowledge in identify management (Active Directory/Azure AD (Entra)/Group Policy)Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWORKING CONDITIONS:Hybrid Remote (3 days per week in office)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field10 or more years' work experience as a System Engineer or related positionAbility to work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plansCurrent understanding of best practices regarding system security measuresGreat Benefits for full time employee including:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePTO from day one401k and generous company matchTuition assistanceDisability and life insuranceLegal and ID theft insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramAnnual Incentive Program (AIP)And More!Sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future.
