This is a fast-paced, dynamic position at the center of project management and renewable energy development. The Project Development Analyst works closely with experienced experts in every domain of the utility-scale renewable energy industry (wind, solar, and battery storage). This role is focused specifically on our portfolio of renewable energy projects around the state of New York, projected to be built in 2027 and beyond. This role will also support the development work to repower our existing fleet of wind energy projects around the state. The Project Development Analyst supports the development of projects from early-stage site identification all the way through permitting and construction. The Project Development Analyst is responsible for handling complex tasks and supporting Project Managers on multiple projects. The Project Development Analyst interacts daily with a diversity of internal project teams and external landowners, community stakeholders, and public officials in various project areas. This is a tremendous early-career position for emerging leaders who are seeking professional growth opportunities in the renewable energy industry with numerous training opportunities.Cover letters are strongly encouraged to be submitted!Main responsibilities:Identify and oversee the development of large-scale wind, solar and battery storage projects by creating and updating project maps and databases using GIS toolsRepresent EDPRNA in the field, working with Project Managers and landowners to create, negotiate, and amend agreements, options, leases, and land salesEngage in community outreach and stakeholder management activitiesOrganize and attend educational and networking eventsConduct land, market, regulatory, and related project researchCompile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits at the local, state, and federal levelAssist with efforts to secure critical transmission and interconnection contracts from utilities and transmission providersPrepare proposals that are submitted to power purchasers including utilities, community choice aggregators, and commercial & industrial customersSupport internal reporting and project tracking effortsAdditional duties as required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field1 - 3 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industryExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (particularly Excel)Experience with ArcGIS is preferredComptetency in analytical problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise (Preferred)Valid driver's license
