With more than 13,000 employees around the world, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow.The Business Development Lead will drive offtake origination efforts, focused on onsite and offsite DG solar projects across the United States. This individual will have significant experience negotiating both behind-the meter Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and community solar offtake agreements, in addition to possessing a strong sales acumen.EDPR DG is an extremely fast-growing Company and we are looking for an energetic and mission driven team member that enjoys change, will own this role and is committed to taking it to the next levelMain Accountabilities:Drive C&I origination efforts across onsite and offsite solar and battery energy storage projectsGrow the pipeline of opportunities, focusing on but not limited to:Segment: C&I, Utilities and MUSH, both new prospects and existing customer baseProducts: Onsite distributed Solar and storage, PPA contracts; and front of the meter (anchor) customer acquisition
Prospect new potential customers and expand upon relationship with existing customers to grow pipelinePrepare responses to Requests for Proposals ("RFPs") and create presentations for potential customers using technical and analytical analysesWork alongside other internal EDP Renewables departments (including engineering, construction, finance, energy assessment, legal, etc.) to support proposal and negotiation activitiesRepresent EDPR NA DG at industry conferences

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA or Master's degree preferred)5+ years negotiating both behind-the meter PPAs and community solar offtake agreements5+ years experience working with renewables and distributed generation solar energy provider; 3+ years of experience within the Distributed Solar and Storage industry preferredUnderstanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferredCompetency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferredDesire to be a subject matter expert in renewable energy
