Job Summary:Lake County Press, Inc., a leading provider of high-quality printing solutions, is seeking an experienced Sheetfed Pressman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating sheetfed presses and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality print production while adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain sheetfed printing presses, ensuring optimal performance and print quality.
Set up press equipment for various jobs, including color matching, inking, and registration adjustments.
Monitor production runs for quality assurance, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting client expectations.
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the production manager.
Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the printing environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in printing technology preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating sheetfed presses (e.g., Heidelberg, Komori).
Strong understanding of color theory, print processes, and quality control measures.
Experience with ink management and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Familiarity with 5S methodology and/or Six Sigma is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced production facility with exposure to noise, chemicals, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods is required.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
