Job Summary The Demand Planner Analyst is responsible for developing and reviewing an 18-month rolling forecast using data analytics & visualization tools. Forecast updates are entered into the IBP demand planning system. The Demand Planner Analyst plays a critical role to support the monthly S&OP process to drive alignment across functions. It is the responsibility of this position to understand the intricacies of the supply chain process to achieve the best possible forecast accuracy and inventory levels. This role will represent Forecasting & Commercial Operations in the partnership with Marketing and Production. This position is responsible for assisting in the execution and achievement of MedTech supply goals to ensure targeted customer service levels are met. This position relies on experience, judgement, and analysis to accomplish goals. This role is comprised of elements of forecasting, supply chain, inventory control, data analysis, and market awareness Responsibilities
Review the demand forecast using inputs such as sales forecasts, shipment history, and marketing plansCreate insightful analysis using tools such as ORI (Operations Results) and Microstrategy, along with SAP, to analyze and validate gathered data to help steer decision makingHave the mindset to improve upon forecasts to better meet customer needs, including the use of statistical forecast modelsCollaborate closely with Marketing to ensure the most accurate demand signals are being reviewed and analyzedPlays a key role in the monthly S&OP process through coordinator of information on supply & demand influencing signalsBe able to explain to others why recommendations are made for certain changeAnalyze key KPIs such as forecast accuracy and forecast bias to drive improvements within our demandThis position will also take an active role in supply discussions with production plants to have a close awareness of supply situationsProvide analysis and make recommendations through supply modeling to minimize excess inventory and resolve issues related to low stock levelsThe Demand Planner Analyst role expands to include contributions to special projects and other supply chain & business strategy initiativesProvide ad hoc support as required to Planning Manager and Senior PlannerAll employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumRequirements* Must possess a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field* Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel(ex. VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables, etc.)* Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy* Must have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry* Experience with SAP or IBP/APO is preferred* Must possess strong written & verbal communication skills and communicate effectively with a broad range of multicultural partners* Must demonstrate effective decision-making skill* Must have a strong knowledge of supply chain & inventory practices* Operationally independent and self-motivated. Possess excellent time management skills and can manage multiple priorities
