Position Highlights:Position: Supply Chain Operations Specialist IILocation: Highland Park, ILFull Time (40 hours per week)Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pmRequired Travel: Floating Locations as NeededWhat you will do:
Responsible for the inventory control, PAR utilization and management, product standardization, contract compliance, and assuring the cost-effectiveness and reliability of an acquisition and distribution system for the consumable and reusable supplies for Supply Chain Specialty areas.Ensure a detailed understanding of the ordering process, inventory management, contract compliance, data analysis, independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and problem solving.Deal effectively with the demands of departmental relationships, with proven strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively.Assume responsibility and accountability for ordering, maintaining, receiving, and distributing supplies and materials to various hospital departments.Process all electronically handled purchase orders in the supply management programStock patient care products according to established protocols.Facilitate orders, receipts, processing and distribution of all inventory specialty and non-stock (stockless) items to the assigned departments.What you will need:
Education: High school diploma or GED required, Associate's Degree preferredCertification: Specialized courses related to materials management, inventory, and/or OSHA requirements preferredExperience: Minimum of 3 years related to materials management systems or with progressively more responsible related work experience in supply chain.
