Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing for multiple pay groups including, but not limited to, data entry, benefits deductions, garnishments, tax calculations, and reporting.Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll specialist role or a similar role.Proven experience with payroll processing and tax regulations.Working knowledge of payroll best practices.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.Working knowledge of payroll systems.Strong work ethic and team player.High degree of professionalism.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.Ability to communicate with various levels of management.Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
