Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate processing and recording of client and company payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information, participating in data entry payroll processing, and streamlining and automating payroll processes. Perform daily payroll department operations.Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.Reconcile payroll prior to entry into the payroll modules and validate confirmed reports.Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.Process time and attendance from a variety of point of sale systems and interface with payroll.Process accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting when necessary.Develop ad hoc reporting as needed.Process manual checks.Load import files received from HR (All Companies); research and email appropriate audience of file issues.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
CPP preferred but not required.1+ years experience processing payroll.Working knowledge of payroll best practices.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Strong work ethic and team player.High degree of professionalism and demonstrated business acumen.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.A team player with the ability to handle deadline-driven environments.Ability to communicate with various levels of management.Restaurant company experience a plus.A passion for providing an excellent client experience through consistent customer service and business processes.Career-minded rather than job-minded.Employment Type
