What You'll Do:
The Spring (January - April) Business Development - Lifestyle Intern will be trained in the nuts and bolts of the brand licensing business. You'll be mentored by experienced internal leaders who will advise and help you succeed and develop exceptional business acumen. You will be trained and assist in generating new business by identifying and qualifying leads to join Authentic's global network of licensing partners in the wholesale, retail, and online marketplace sectors. From identifying target licensing partners and executing top-notch qualification tactics, you will gain 360-degree knowledge of expanding Authentic's partnership universe.
What You'll Be Working On:Lead generation & ideate new verticals/categories: Extensive outreach on under-penetrated areasBenchmarking - Create benchmarking document to compare potential opportunities against licensed categoryInternal Partner Category List - list to capture existing partner's growth goalsLead generation & ideate new verticals/categories: Extensive outreach on under-penetrated areasEffectively use a CRM: salesforce entries, maintain teams google docs/trackersLiaise between BD & brand teams, coordinate meetings & requests, manage prioritiesAssist team in contract negotiations with issues lists, comps, term sheets, CS&EA'sIssues Lists: how to summarize redlinesComps: help team make informed decisions with counterproposalsTerm Sheets/CSEAs: familiarize self with licensing agreementsLearn successful pitching by listening in on team's meetingsLearn the lifecycle of a deal from outreach to full executionMust Haves:
Currently enrolled university student.Able to work up to 20 hours per weekAble to work onsite in our NYC officeWillingness to get your hands dirty and make things happen.Strong written and verbal communication skillsComfortability in a high-paced, collaborative environmentDetail orientedProficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G SuiteProcess-driven and constantly looking for ways to streamline and simplify complex tasks
Primary Location Salary Range:
The hourly rate for an undergraduate student intern in New York, NY, is $17The hourly rate for a graduate student intern in New York, NY, is $20
