Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to support the Senior Data Analyst by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to provide insight to agency leadership and other stakeholders.Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.Assists in maintaining report models and statistical analysis.
Gathers data from internal and external sources.
Provides formatting and cleaning of unprocessed data for use.
Makes reports and graphics to convey results and completes special projects.
Improves agency data quality by monitoring for noisy, missing, or inconsistent data.
Helps the Senior Data Analyst design data collection plans to measure program outcomes and effectiveness.
Extracts, transforms, and loads data to reporting models for internal and external use.
Imports or retrieves data from various sources; links, converts, and saves data into database, spreadsheet, or graphic format.
Creates program and organization reports, including data visualizations and written analysis.
Researches data systems to develop data collection and reporting to meet current and future requirements.
Responds to regular data request in a professional and timely manner.
Provides technical support to data collection functions.
Maintains content on internal and external web portals.
Maintains data related to key performance indicators.
Assists with benchmarking of programs and service delivery.
Coordinates in agency and enterprise data initiatives.
Performs related work as assigned.Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
Two (2) years of program evaluation or data analysis experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
