Project HR Employee Relations Specialist

Position Summary:
The Employee Relations Specialist will play a key role in maintaining a positive, compliant, and supportive work environment by managing employee relations cases, handling administrative HR tasks, and providing an efficient and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires. This role is responsible for conducting investigations into workplace concerns, accurately documenting case details, and reporting findings to HR leadership. Additionally, the Specialist may be responsible for collecting and processing new hire paperwork, managing onboarding logistics, and assist with other HR administrative duties. Strong skills in Excel are essential for tracking and reporting employee data. The Specialist must exercise strict confidentiality and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations Management : Address employee relations matters with professionalism and sensitivity. Act as a trusted point of contact for employees to raise concerns or request conflict mediation.Investigations
:
Conduct detailed, unbiased investigations into complaints, policy violations, or allegations of misconduct. Interview relevant parties, gather evidence, and analyze information to reach sound conclusions. Document findings and share recommendations with HR and Project Leadership.Documentation and Record-Keeping
:
Maintain organized, precise documentation for all employee relations cases and HR processes, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.Onboarding and New Hire Paperwork
:
Facilitate new hire onboarding by collecting and processing necessary paperwork, ensuring completion and accuracy of forms, and coordinating onboarding schedules with HR, project leadership and all other relevant departments.Data Management and Reporting
:
Track and maintain employee data using spreadsheets and other internal systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel are required.HR Administrative Support
:
Assist with HR administrative functions, including but not limited to collection of various new hire forms or other materials, supporting HR team members with other administrative duties that could include benefits, payroll, or compliance related training, answering employee queries in a timely manner, and participating in team projects as needed.Confidentiality and Compliance

Uphold strict confidentiality in all employee relations and HR matters, ensuring compliance with data protection policies and employment regulations.Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentTravel required to other site locations as neededPerform other duties as assignedComplete all required compliance training on an annual basis
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of employment laws and regulatory requirementsSelf-directed and able to work independentlyExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage confidential and sensitive issues with discretionStrong acumen in employee relationsMust work with a high degree of empathy, understanding and diplomacyDemonstrated relationship building skills with team members, employees, and other departments to foster a positive and collaborative work cultureOrganized and strong attention to detailEffective conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve disputes in a constructive manner
Required Education and Experience:
3+ years of handling complex employee relations issues and other human resources related experience required - ideally focused on employee relations and HR Generalist functionsStrong knowledge of all Georgia labor laws2 or 4-year degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology or similarProven understanding of HR practices, principles and policiesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related computer applicationsKnowledge of employee benefits and workers compensation preferred
Location:
Georgia; may require onsite presence at a location to be determined; travel may be required based upon business needs, reliable transportation is necessary.
