The Employee Relations Specialist is an important member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for managing and resolving employee relations matters in accordance with standardized procedures.Essential Functions:Receive and assess manager concerns and/or employee complaints and determine the plan of action for effective and timely resolution.Perform investigations and resolve employee relations issues by applying fair and consistent guidelines; preserve confidentiality as practicable.Prepare detailed investigative notes and conclusion memos; conduct conclusion meetings.Maintain all investigative documents in the relevant files.Work with managers and supervisors on building a positive work environment.Update the internal employee relations tracker.Act as the company advocate for anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and anti-retaliation policies.Functioning knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal laws governing employment issues.Collaborate closely with the HR team, keeping key members updated with progress.Prepare and present comprehensive oral and written updates regarding investigation findings and progress updates.Along with the HR team, assist with new hire onboarding by preparing necessary documents, new hire packets, and working with presenters to ensure a smooth new employee experience.Assist with coordinating special projects, as needed.Requirements:3 – 5 years of HR employee relations experience“Hands-on” experience conducting various types of workplace investigations, such as harassment, discrimination, and retaliationExcellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail, including reasoning and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in MS Office SuiteAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently and independentlyDemonstrate the ability to follow-up and follow through in a timely mannerAbility to travel locally to various property sites as neededMust possess and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and be a team playerPhysical Requirements:Regular and physical attendance is requiredOccasionally lift/move/carry up to 15 lbs. with/without assistanceFrequently lift/move/carry 5 lbs.Constantly communicate, converse, and exchange information with departmentAbility to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Constantly works in low to moderate noise levelsSalary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 Annually100% Employee coverage options for Medical, Dental, Vision.401(k) plan with employer matchRobust Paid Time off benefits: Vacation, Sick Days, Holidays and Personal Days.Employee Assistance programTuition AssistanceDependent Care and Medical Flexible Spending Accounts
