As a Software Test Engineer, you are responsible for implementing testing procedures on software programs. Your tasks include developing testing procedures, conducting software testing, and creating reports on the software's performance.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Planning: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications. Define test objectives, scope, and criteria.Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Execute test cases and document test results.Issue Identification: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues. Work closely with the development team to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Enhance automation processes to improve test coverage and efficiency.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure all testing activities are documented and traceable.Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software meets quality standards and requirements. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with experience in both manual and automated testing.Technical Skills: Proficiency with software testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Basic knowledge of test automation and scripting languages.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve software issues effectively.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in executing test cases and documenting results.Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Experience in aerospace or high-tech industries is a plus.Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced testing techniques, including performance testing, security testing, and load testing. Experience with additional test automation tools and frameworks.Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)) are a plus.Industry Experience: Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of software testing needs for complex and mission-critical systems.Innovation: Proven ability to contribute to process improvements and implement innovative testing solutions.ITAR Requirements:
