LOGISTICS ANALYST - EXEMPT POSITION - LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is under the Mission Support Services (MSS) contract at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Primary functions are with tracking and accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to include inventory, property management, database management, reporting and validation of equipment. Responsible for the development, improvement, and implementation of critical property management processes. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the logistics functions of large organizational components of the Test Center to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate inventory schedules and activities with appropriate contractor personnel, to managing the SLOC account, turn-ins, quarterly inventory of sensitive items, and monthly inventory of transferred property. Upload durable equipment into the Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) and PIEE property accountability system and verify accuracy of the database. Identify, research, and correct discrepancies and provide detailed status reports directly to Logistics Manager. All work will follow government supply and maintenance management guidelines and conform to all applicable DoD and Army standards.
This position involves time-critical work which requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and adjust to continually changing priorities, and a commitment to customer service. The Logistics Analyst will report directly to the Logistics Manager and must be able to work independently with minimal oversight. Work may require some travel, overtime, and/or weekend work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years of experience in Logistics. Must have working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) as well as state and federal regulations. U.S. Army Major Item and Repair Parts Supply, Installation Supply, and Property Accountability procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience working in an enterprise based property management system.
Candidate selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must have a valid driver's license and meet SRS vehicle insurability criteria.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted. Must be able to work in austere desert environment.
Desired Qualifications:Military logistical training and experience. Working knowledge of GCSS-Army. Familiarity with Test Range equipment, instrumentation, and assets.
