The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a cleared Senior Database Administrator who will be supporting the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Integrated Business System (IBS) program. As an experienced professional in CACI's growing Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS), the candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success. The candidate will have the opportunity to help architect, develop, maintain, and enhance future iterations of MSC integrated business system applications. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database infrastructure supporting a diverse set of modern web-based business systems applications operating in a distributed ecosystem stretched across a wide array of difficult network and operational conditions.

This is a remote opportunity and must be able to come to Chantilly or Norfolk, VA once in a while!

Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and manage multiple SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security as the team works through a broad modernization and database migration effort

Provide strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities to support identifying opportunities for building better system and data boundaries and managing data integrity across a distributed systems architecture

Play a critical role in all aspects of the development and deployment process and help the team scale by improving processes and mentoring new developers.

Develop, modify, and design new or existing software systems to meet client needs.

Provide technical support, including the analysis, design, development and implementation of new systems, system enhancements and bug fixes.

Responsible for the creation, modification, and execution of test plans and scripts.

Collaborate with business analysts and development managers to ensure projects meet standard requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearanc.

Comprehensive understanding of modern database design, database management, and best practices.

Strong understanding of the software development and release management processes.

Expertise operating in distributed systems with a strong understanding of statement based replication, distributed log architectures, asynchronous pub/sub architectures, and/or event based service mesh style microservice architecture.

Expertise in troubleshooting, log analysis, performance tuning, data validation, disaster recovery and backup/restore processes.

Expertise in utilizing multiple DDL and DML languages and technologies including SQL and PL/SQL to build and decompose comprehensive data structures and including complex layered procedures and views.

Experience building and working in Event Driven Microservice environments utilizing technologies like Kafka, MQTT, AWS SQS, and AWS SNS.

Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

10+ years of professional software development experience.

Desired:

An active DoD Secret clearance.

Agile, Scrum, JIRA.

Experience utilizing version control systems like Git and SVN.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
