What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be joining Opply at an exciting stage of growth, where your work will directly contribute to our ambitious journey forward. As a member of our skilled tech team, which spans expertise in Web Applications, Quality Assurance, Data Engineering, and Data Science, you’ll collaborate within multidisciplinary squads to tackle impactful projects. Together,
we will be shaping the future of our products and building solutions that drive real business outcomes.
The role can be on-site with our team in London, hybrid or fully remote (+/-2h GMT).
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Design and Implement Features:
Develop new features for our web and mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and align with user needs.
Enhance System Architecture:
Evolve our existing architecture to support growing user demand, optimizing for performance, reliability, and future scalability.
End-to-End Development:
Lead full-cycle development from concept and design through to testing and deployment, maintaining high-quality code standards.
Code Quality and Review:
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback, maintaining our standards for high-quality, readable, and efficient code.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with designers, product managers, and data teams to refine requirements, break down complex ideas, and deliver effective, pragmatic solutions.
Unit and Integration Testing:
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and stability in production.
Troubleshoot and Debug:
Actively participate in identifying and resolving technical issues that arise in production, contributing to post-mortem and improvement processes.
What Experience You Have
5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer:
You’ve worked across both frontend and backend development, building and deploying complete features and applications.
High proficiency in frontend development using a reactive framework:
While we use Vue.js, experience with any modern reactive framework (such as React, Angular, or Svelte) is great.
High proficiency in backend development:
Our backend is built with Django, but strong experience with Typescript, Node.js, or other similar backend stacks is equally valuable.
Strong experience with SQL databases:
We use PostgreSQL, but experience with any relational database (like MySQL, MariaDB, etc.) will be highly relevant.
Familiarity with cloud environments:
Experience with AWS is a plus, but experience with any cloud provider (Azure, GCP, etc.) is beneficial.
DevOps experience is an advantage:
If you have experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, or infrastructure-as-code, that’s a great asset.
