Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
- Manage and support the Accounting, A/P, and A/R teams, including performance management and staff development.
- Oversee Sales & Use Tax filings and assist with monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
- Handle Fixed Asset accounting, Lease Accounting, and ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to review and update internal control policies and develop departmental goals.
What You Need to Succeed as the Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of General Accounting, A/P, and A/R processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP and Sage Fixed Assets is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skill
- Working knowledge of Lease Accounting is a plus
