This role represents a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging and professional environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as a project manager for various Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiatives.Serves as data steward for Office of Career and Technical Education, supervises the collection of career readiness data that is provided to Office of Assessment and Accountability; performs other duties as required.Manages the collection of career readiness data for Kentucky Department of Education.Manages the progress of Office of Career and Technical Education initiatives and priorities.Serves on various cross-functional Kentucky Department of Education teams representing Office of Career and Technical Education.Serves as a liaison between the Office of Career and Technical Education and Office of Assessment and Accountability.Supervises Data Staff, ensuring the State-wide contract for on-line skill standards assessment program are being met.Supervises and conducts performance evaluations and authorizes and approves leave of employees.Performs other duties as assigned.PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:Sequel ScriptTeamworkExcelTEDSCTE Data KnowledgeIn accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers’ Retirement System.Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.Applicants currently under contract with a local school district are required to provide a written release from their superintendent prior to an offer of employment will be given.The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. KDE will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.For more information on E-Verify, or if you believe that KDE has violated its E-Verify responsibilities, please contact the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at 888-897-7781 or
