At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re hiring highly technical cloud computing architects to help our customers develop technical expertise and capacity, while also collaborating with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our consultants will deliver Pilot projects, topical workshops, and lead implementation projects.Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.Key job responsibilitiesWe are looking for hands-on cloud architects who will work with other Professional Services consultants in a project to:Dive deep into inventory and application data of the customer’s on-premise services to assess the portfolio and develop decision criteria to create initial migration wave plans.Analyze the customer’s existing infrastructure design including network, storage, computing resources, along with the operational processes / policies to design a secure, robust, and highly tolerant multi-account AWS environment based on AWS best practices.Develop required operating and governance models, and help customers to migrate applications to AWS.Help customers and partners to be prepared for cloud operations, and identify the areas for automation to accelerate the migration and transformation of the organization.Establish the future operating model for cloud and plan, guide and support an efficient progression of the operational model during the migration.A day in the lifeThis is a customer facing role.
