Roles and Responsibilities:Join an existing team to provide development support for Security Sustainment applications.Troubleshoot application issues and collaborate with other developers, system engineers and vendors for resolutions.Utilize software development methodologies aligned with CMS’ DevOps objectives.Work in a fast-paced environment, ready to tackle challenges in upgrading or modifying systems.Work with backend technologies like Node and Java for critical application operation.Support application development and production, optimizing performance for essential functions.Contribute to designing robust, scalable, and efficient Enterprise Applications.Code, test, and troubleshoot applications deployed on cloud infrastructure for reliability and availability.Engage in agile development practices using Jira, collaborating with the team to enhance functionality and modernize code bases.Provide configuration management support to ensure smooth operation of the system.Key Technologies:JavaScriptJavaNode.jsAngularJSAngularVue.jsMongoDBDesired Skills:Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, VueJS or comparable JavaScript frameworks/librariesExperience with containerizationExperience working with Git for source code managementExperience with NiFiExperience working with the AWS PlatformExperience working in an Agile Development TeamExperience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainmentQualifications:A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering. Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Experience working with Java and/or JavaScriptWillingness to learn new technologiesExperience developing and updating technical documentationAbility to work core hours M-F 10am-2pm. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
