Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional LMTS Digital RTL Design Engineer to join our Memory Interface Chip business unit in Morrisville, NC. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.As a LMTS Digital RTL Design Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Sr Dir Analog Engineering and is a Full Time position. Candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing mission critical RTL components. The individual will work closely with specification developers, digital & analog designers, and physical design teams to realize efficient and highest performance designs. The position is for DDR5 and DDR6 enterprise-class memory interface products to grow the Memory Interface Chip Business Unit.Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.Responsibilities
Developing system Verilog RTL IP, logic, and state machines for next generation productsPerforming full chip integration and chip level simulationsEstimating and tracking power, performance, area (PPA) tradeoffs for RTL designsReviewing and improving Static Timing Analysis (STA) resultsCreating Verilog models of componentsGuiding verification team for code coverageSupporting validation during chip power-on and debugQualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of RTL design experienceStrong background in Digital RTL design including industry standard LEC, CDC, Lint, DFT, BIST, STA toolsFamiliarity with industry standard interface protocol such as I3C, I2C, SMBus is preferredFamiliarity with DDR5 DRAM, DIMM topology and overall, DIMM operation is preferredAbility to document design techniques, test, and verification methodology.Python/perl script developmentInterface with debug, test, product, and reliability engineers for product qualificationInterface with application engineers for customer supportRambus is a global company that makes industry-leading memory interface chips and Silicon IP to advance data center connectivity and solve the bottleneck between memory and processing.
