JOB DESCRIPTIONCreates CNC part programs utilizing the current CAM software (i.e., Mastercam).Ability to create 3D models in Solidworks from 2D drawings, scans, or PDFs to satisfy the programming required and to fulfill all documentation requirements including but not limited to (i.e., Setup Plots, Tool Lists, Machine Program, Status Report).Interface with other departments for clarification, correction, or requested changes (finish, tolerance, or design).You will utilize the latest technology in programming, tooling, and machining strategies with an emphasis on setup and cost reduction.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining practices, and related tooling/materials used to machine products across assigned CNC machine tools.Willingness and ability to see an assignment through in a timely manner, recognizing needs of others/production, and also be able to manage multiple programs or projects concurrently.Ability to work individually with little supervision and must be able to work in a team environment and closely with all machinists to validate programs for accuracy and efficiency.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent.2 years’ experience programming in Mastercam or related software.Experience creating models and drawings using Solidworks or related software.Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude.Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T tolerancing and its application.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with any of the following software(s): IDEA’s, Solidworks, Mastercam, Mazak Mazatrol, Zoller TMS.Experience with Mazak mill-turn and/or 4-axis horizontal mills.Fixture and jig design and application.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSOffice and shop environments.Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required.Requires the ability to sit for extended periods with breaks.
