CNC PROGRAMMER IV – Houston Texas (North)PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONProgram manufacturing jobs, fixtures, and repairs within facility. Review customer supplied prints and creates programs to optimize use of existing equipment. Analyze and advise improvements in fixturing, work holding, tooling and processes.PRIMARY DUTIESDevelop complex CNC programs for 5 axis machining centers, vertical mills with and without 4th axis rotaries, horizontal mills & Fanuc lathes with live tooling and Y axisUtilize computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/MASTERCAM) and related computer technology to develop programs and tool path modelsEffectively evaluate, communicate, and report machine performance along with areas for improvement in the machining processContinually search for advancements in tooling and technology for ways to improve existing processesTrouble shoots CNC program problems on the floor assisting operators to correct themReview routers for production processDevelop and design work holding and select cutting tools.
