Clayton Services is searching for a CNC Programmer IV to join a thriving company in North Houston. The CNC Programmer IV will develop and optimize manufacturing programs, fixtures, and repairs by reviewing customer-supplied prints and analyzing equipment use while recommending improvements.

Pay Rate: $35-40/hour
CNC Programmer IV Responsibilities:
- Leverage CAD/MASTERCAM and other computer technologies to develop programs and tool path models.
- Create advanced CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers, vertical mills (both with and without 4th-axis rotaries), horizontal mills, and Fanuc lathes with live tooling and Y-axis capabilities.
- Assess, communicate, and report on machine performance, identifying areas for improvement in the machining process.
- Proactively seek out innovations in tooling and technology to enhance existing processes.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming issues on the shop floor, supporting operators for resolution.
- Review production routers to streamline the manufacturing process.
- Design and develop workholding solutions and select appropriate cutting tools, creating necessary documentation to facilitate machine setup.
- Organize and maintain the DNC system to reflect current processes, including setup information to optimize tooling selection in the tool room and minimize machine setup times.
- Test new machine technologies to decrease part cycle times.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to continuously enhance design and production efforts.
- Assist in creating models and blueprints for workholding and fixturing solutions.
- Support the training of other CNC programmers.
CNC Programmer IV Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced aptitude of machining principles - DMG (5 axis), Mazak Integrex (5 axis), Mazak (4 axis – vertical), Fanuc Lathe (Puma, Wia, Kia).
- Extensive working knowledge of CNC programs and DNC systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, GD&T, CNC programs and processes.
- Ability to lead teams in the development of new product processes.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
CNC Programmer IV Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a CNC Programmer role utilizing MASTERCAM.
- Advanced experience with MASTERCAM software is a must.
