We provide strategic direct marketing solutions for national brands, leveraging innovative variable data technology, to turn concepts into finished digital and physical products, all in one seamless process.The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of SQL Server, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Responsibilities
Design and develop database structures, including schemas, tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures to support application development and business requirements.Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other performance tuning techniques.Implement and maintain data integrity and security policies, including backups, disaster recovery, and access controls.Work with software developers to integrate databases with applications, ensuring data consistency and reliability.Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and defragmentation to ensure optimal performance.Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support to development and data analysis teams.Create and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI.Document database designs, configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure comprehensive records for future reference.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.Develop and document database standards.Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 6 years experience with MSSQL with 2 years of MSSQL 2016 or newer.Proven experience as a MSSQL Database Developer or similar role.Experience with database design, data modeling, and normalization.Experience with ETL process design and implementation.Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Familiarity with version control systems like Git.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.Familiarity with data warehousing and BI tools is a plus.Experience with C# is a plus.Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Bash is a plus.Knowledge of Azure cloud-based database services a plus.We’d love to hear your story and learn how your talents and experiences will enhance our team.
