Maintenance Mechanic

SMV Recruiting is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to work for our client in West Hartford, CT. This client is seeking a mechanically inclined Mechanic to work on production equipment around the manufacturing facility. In addition, they're seeking someone who will be tasks with projects and PMs as assigned including repairs around the facility, as needed. This is a direct hire role with the ability to work over time, great benefits and very competitive pay!

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance on production equipment in the manufacturing facility

Install, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis and repair on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and some electrical components of production equipment

Troubleshoot, repair and install manufacturing production equipment including hydraulic presses, rolling mills and extruders

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and other equipment around the facility

Install and perform maintenance on gear boxes, motors, hoists, pumps and engines

Complete projects around the facility as assigned

Utilize correct tools to perform maintenance

Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall maintenance process

Comply with safety guidelines and OHSA regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

3-5+ years of related maintenance experience

2-4 years experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment

Experience working on hydraulic Minster presses is highly preferred

Rigging and welding experience is preferred

Trade school or relevant certifications in OSHA, mechanical or electrical fields are preferred
