The Antenna Center of Excellence (COE) in Norcross, GA is part of the Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. We are expanding our presence in the exciting field of connected aircraft with RF communication technologies and building on our strong heritage for new defense applications. We are a diverse engineering organization with multiple disciplines including RF, antenna, embedded software, digital and analog electronics, mechanical, systems engineering and project management.
We are seeking a Software Architect who will work with a dynamic engineering team in a collaborative environment. You will expand your technical experience and improve your skills by helping the team in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and collaborating with broader engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop, plan, and execute software development projects
-Create software blueprints to meet business needs
-Lead a software team
-Design and develop software code and technical requirements
-Manage software applications
-Suggest tools and methods for software process improvement
-Technical resolution
-Technical consultancy
-Project and product compliance
-Risk management
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
-Ability to obtain a Security clearance
-10+ years of experience with C or C ++ compiled language
-10+ years of experience with embedded software or microprocessors
-5+ years of experience with entire software development cycle

-Significant experience with new product development in a highly regulated environment
