We are looking for an effective Delivery Van Driver to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and visionConstantly develop knowledge of the logistics ecosystemServe as a liaison between our logistics partners and carriersOversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and 3PL operationsSetup layout and ensure efficient space utilizationInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and proceduresAdhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirementsMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityWork with Operations Manager to optimize budgetLiaise with drivers, employees, customer service, and transport companiesRecruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employeesReceive feedback and monitor the quality of services providedSolve package and driver issues as they ariseDrive company transit van to outer markets to deliver cargo to fleet of driversResponsible for reconciling all drivers packages when distributing and collecting themBe able to frequently move boxes weighing up to 30-50 poundsRequirements
Proven work experience as a Lead or SupervisorExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesHands on experience with warehouse management software and databasesLeadership skills and ability manage staffStrong decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsValid driver's licenseExperience driving a transit vanBenefits
