JOB DETAILS:Ratios: 1:6 flex based on needs in organizationShift: 12hr DAYSUnit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!!***RTO: 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer - No Christmas RTO***Float Requirement: Yes, traveler will work with the CNRO(Centralized Resource Nursing Pool). Float Pool currently covers three separate campuses. Majority of shifts will be at the main campus but shift can also be scheduled and New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital. Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floorsWeekend Requirement: every other weekend
**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Floating between several medical, surgical, and telemetry units. Assisting in caring for patients held in our ED who are inpatient.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID. During times of increased census typical ratios may be higher. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff. May be preassigned to units as needed.
UNIT SYSTEMS:
PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
SCHEDULING TYPE: based on scheduling gaps
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24hrs (2 shifts)
