Under minimal supervision performs a wide variety of semi-routine accounting, regulatory compliance, clerical, product development and quality control and technical duties of moderate complexity. This senior level position is responsible to lead the day-to-day functions for their multiple areas of responsibility and provide direction to support staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Member Service: 60%Provides superior Member service that meets RCU service standards and values to the Members and employees of Redwood Credit Union.Responsible for at least two critical areas of payment or item processing for ACH, Bill Pay, Image Center system and MDC Risk.Provide direction, support and leadership to support staff.Research, recommend and implement new products and services.Generate daily return files for the Federal Reserve Bank.Review, balance and transmit check image files to the Federal Reserve Bank.Research and resolves Members' problems or complaints. Responds with accurate information through verbal and/or written communication. Provides guidance to support staff.Ability to analyze data, trends, make recommendations and offer solutions.Make sound judgments and decision for areas of responsibility.Resolve errors, fraud or disputes relating to ACH and Bill Pay processing.Balance general ledgers and perform reconciliations.Coordinates and manages work flow for area.Manage and implement regulatory compliance for area of responsibility.Manage and direct payment and item processing channel improvements and growth.Department and Branch Support: 30%Supports and answers the Electronic Services phone que.Project support and implementation.Covers and back-ups other ES positions.Represent RCU in a courteous and professional manner at all times.Performs other duties as assigned.Non-Essential Functions: 10%Train branches and staff as needed in Electronic Services processes and procedures.Provide monthly status report and board report.Cross train in all ES areas to assist during vacation or illness.Compile monthly status report, general ledger reconciliations and board reports.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, reach overhead, twist and turn.Ability to lift from 15 to 40 pounds.Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.Education/ExperienceA combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree. Three years' experience in customer service, accounting or closely related field and experience in item or payment processing functions is preferred. Experience at a financial institution is required.Compensation: Base starting range: $29.00 to $38.00per hour commensurate with experience.Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
