Our client, the oldest Reform synagogue in New York City is seeking an Administrative Assistant.
This is a long-term temporary position with potential to convert to a perm job.
The work schedule is Monday Friday, 9am 5pm (35-hour work week)
The pay rate range is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour and depends on experience.
Job Description
The ideal Clergy Administrative Assistant will be an energetic, positive professional who brings experience in administrative skills. The Clergy Administrative Assistant will have a vital role in supporting the Rabbi of the temple and additional clergy.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments and conferences, manage calendar
Perform basic bookkeeping duties such as managing receipts
Arrange travel logistics for staff and guests
Handle emails and written correspondence
Manage document reproduction and digital records
Maintain office supplies inventory
Take notes during meetings, document discussions
Transcribe and edit meeting memos
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred; high school diploma required.
Two years of administrative support experience required.
