We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team of professionals in North Chesterfield, VA
As a Data Analyst, you'll collaborate with internal and external teams to understand data needs and objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
- Detecting, examining, and decoding trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
- Extracting, cleaning, and transforming data from diverse sources for analysis.
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Ensuring data quality, applications, and functions for accurate migration.
- Cleansing data and scrutinizing computer-generated reports to identify and rectify coding errors.
- Generating visualizations and reports for stakeholders, ranking the needs of different business units.
- Partnering with engineering and product development teams to understand business requirements.
- Employing statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
- Specifying data requirements for analysis projects tailored to unique business processes.
- Experience: 5 years in a Data Analyst or related role.
- Technical Skills: Data models, database design, data cleansing, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Tools: Familiarity with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail.
- Communication: Proficient in data analysis, query writing, and presenting findings.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate data for meaningful, actionable insights.
- Software: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, R, etc.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
