Litigation Associate AttorneyJob Overview:
A prominent law firm in El Dorado Hills, CA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their expanding team. This role is designed for attorneys who are licensed in California and have a background in civil litigation. The successful candidate will have opportunities to engage in diverse legal responsibilities, including trial work, motion practice, and appellate work. The firm is committed to delivering exceptional legal services to business clients and public entities.Duties:
Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in civil litigation matters.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.Draft and respond to discovery requests.Prepare law and motion papers, including briefs and memoranda.Argue motions in court.Assist in trials, initially as second chair, with growth opportunities.Manage day-to-day responsibilities of litigation files.Meet a minimum of 1,750 billable hours annually.Requirements:
Must hold an active California State Bar license (no exceptions).A minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation as an attorney is preferred.Proven ability to draft persuasive legal documents and briefs.Strong research capabilities and the ability to interpret legal statutes.Skilled in courtroom presentation, including arguing motions.Experience in trials and appellate cases is an advantage.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active membership with the California State Bar.Certifications:
California State Bar License (mandatory).Skills:
Superior legal writing and drafting skills.Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and research abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Experience with trial preparation and participation.Appellate court experience is a plus.Job Location:
