The Director of Sales role is a critical business partner for WACO and Junkers Aircraft sales, while managing the entire sales department. The effective person will oversee, develop, and implement a sales strategy for WACO and Junkers Aircraft for the Americas to ensure sales targets are achieved and results are recorded. Aligning sales strategies to the company vision and results-oriented. The successful individual in this role develops, cultivates, qualifies, actions, and closes said business from self-generated, company-provided leads and from existing and repeat customers. This role will administer and maintain customer relationships, expectations, and outcomes from an outside sales perspective. Collaborate with safety, management, engineering, and purchasing professionals at Fortune 1000-level companies to conceptualize and utilize all sales avenues. This crucial team player will develop new business areas that complement existing offerings throughout the Americas.
The Director of Sales is responsible for building, growing, closing, and maintaining business for Aircraft sales. This role is critical to the organization and will be integral to the company's continued growth. It requires initiative, the ability to sell the lifestyle/luxury aircraft, and a self-directed, organized, forward-thinking, service-minded, and energetic person who is results-driven and capable of professionalism and detailed follow-through.
The Director of Sales is a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, reports directly to the CEO, and is responsible for all functions within the Sales Departments for all subsidiaries of DIMOR Group.
The Director of Sales role will plan, direct, or coordinate the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. The role has the following essential responsibilities:
Follow and execute the closing of aircraft sales and supervise the sale of avionics and the marketing department.
Great understanding of how to create and develop budgets, review analytical data (understanding of P & L analysis), meeting and monitor KPIs, and evaluate trends and adjustments needed to meet Company standards.
Has an established ability to tell a story and connect with a variety of clients through the aviation industry.
Meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for total sales and gross margin.
Develop and execute individual and company business development plans.
Develop and nurture strong business relationships to turn customers into partners.
Promptly act on and effectively qualify new leads to advance into the future quotes and orders funnel.
Regularly travel in designated areas, performing site visits, and customer consultations.
Keen intuition to competently assess customers and situations accurately.
Maintain CRM database of assigned leads, opportunities, quotes, and orders.
Proactively schedule and manage daily & weekly activities on the calendar.
Produce regular, accurate, timely reporting of activities, forecasts, and sales and LOI orders.
Prepare and submit all sales documentation to the appropriate parties, including Sales Proposals, Purchase Agreements, Bills of Sales, Registration Applications, and GAMA Reports.
Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements.
Understand sales and business processes, support corporate and company goals, and contribute to the enhancement of customer value.
Identify customer business requirements and craft customer offers, which result in increased revenue.
Prepare Weekly Sales Activity reports and quarterly Action Plans.
Organize, plan, and coordinate with the Marketing Manager, attend all major and minor trade shows, and implement sales goals and strategies for each.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
Articulate and leverage the benefits of WACO and Junkers to close sales opportunities.
Accept leadership responsibilities by modeling proper selling techniques, effective development of others' commitment to industry, and personal development.
Develop effective presentations (orally and written) where ideas, opinions, recommendations, and conclusions are clearly understood.
Travel to conduct outside calls, promote the entire WACO Brand, and review competition.
Stay current in the industry, find, and suggest new events, attend educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, read publications, and maintain personal and professional networks.
Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or Marketing AND a minimum of five (5) plus years of sales experience selling luxury products to end-user customers, or ten (10) plus years of related sales experience, B2C.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, CRM software, and industry software as needed.
Knowledge of avionics.
Proven track record of professional sales and able to meet and exceed sales goals.
Commercial pilot license a plus; tail-wheel endorsement is preferred.
Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese is a plus.
