A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in landlord and tenant law litigation, ready to take on cases immediately, and comfortable attending court appearances for various proceedings.DutiesAssume responsibility for a caseload focused on landlord and tenant law.Attend court hearings, including initial returns, evidentiary hearings, mediations, and trials.Conduct legal research and prepare necessary documents for court submissions.Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.Maintain organized case files and documentation.Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.RequirementsAdmission to the DC Bar is mandatory; Maryland Bar admission is preferred.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Proven litigation skills and experience in a courtroom setting.Excellent writing and analytical skills.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in the DC Bar; Maryland Bar membership is a plus.SkillsProficient in legal research and case management systems.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive environment while significantly impacting landlord and tenant law litigation.
