Job Description:Ab Initio Developers are responsible for development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participating in unit testing, and maintaining planned and unplanned internally developed applications, as well as evaluating and performance testing of purchased products. Developers are assigned to moderately complex development projects and will be well-versed in data quality processes and data governance procedures to ensure data is fit for consumption.
Required Education/Qualifications:
Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industryDirect hands-on experience with Ab Initio, SQL, Unix ScriptingExperience collaborating effectively with vendors and business partners for solution deliveryExperience with ETL development tools (i.e. Informatica, Mulesoft, Talend, Datastage, SSIS)Experience with testing methodologies with the stated major development language(s)/technologyExperience with a major relational database management system preferred. Experience with NoSQL databases is also a plusExperience with Linux operating system is a plus. RHEL preferredKnowledge of messaging engines is helpfulExperience with RESTful services and JSON preferredCloud experience preferredStrong relationship management and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships with varied stakeholders and team members, including vendorsAbility to manage and/or participate in projects and ensure work is completed on time with high qualityStrong problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and determining innovative solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust be self-directed, highly organized and adaptable with the ability to effectively multi-task as neededFamiliar with current and emerging technologies and has the willingness to investigate and suggest new technology to meet business needs
PREFERRED SKILLS:Development experience using Pyspark and Stored Procedures are preferred skills
