About The RoleAs our Senior Director, Sales Strategy & Planning, you will be a key member of the Sales leadership team driving the growth and optimization of the supply creation side of our marketplace through people, processes and technology. You will own forecasting, territory planning, headcount planning, quota planning, sales compensation administration, enablement technology and help measure and drive sales effectiveness. You will partner closely with the sales leaders to create and execute monthly, quarterly and annual business plans and process improvements.

You will partner with Business Insights, Finance and Product to oversee revenue reporting, processes and technology; and leverage your partnerships to quickly understand issues, perform analysis and implement scalable solutions. What You Get To Do Everyday

Assist sales team to drive operational logistics including optimizing resource allocation across teams, measuring progress against sales goals, and assisting in key sales management meetings.

Develop, manage & report on key revenue and pipeline metrics and actively partner with Finance on forecasting. Own sales compensation administration and planning and manage commission plans with Finance team across the sales organization.

Work with available data to optimize customer/account targeting, partner with the BI team to create additional data visualizations.

Ensure alignment of territories/divisions/regions and maximize the effectiveness of the sales force.

Work cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of key projects, while continually identifying opportunities for ongoing program improvements and enhancements.

Optimization of CRM (Salesforce) and other enablement tools.

Identify opportunities to improve sales team efficiencies and lead efforts to scale best practices across the team.

Support Sales Leadership in all Board presentations, management updates related to revenue.

Assist in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan.

Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, consumer trends, and The RealReal's market positioning. Utilize this knowledge to inform strategy and identify new growth opportunities.

Proactively identify and implement improvements in processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

What You Bring To The RoleMinimum Requirements:

Demonstrable track record of developing people and managing a team, focused on driving success.

10+ years Sales Operations, FP&A, Business Planning and Analytics, in a high growth, fast-paced environment.

Demonstrable analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem solving ability.

Demonstrable project management and structuring ability.

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing environment and needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong executive presence.

Highly motivated, with a sense of urgency and ability to deliver multiple tasks under pressure.

Experience with Salesforce and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.

Ability to Travel 10%.

Preferred Requirements:

Education in Business Analytics, Economics, or related field; MBA a plus.

The expected salary range for this role is $209,400-$250,000. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
