Scope of Position:
Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Import Gateway department. This position is an onsite position at the import CFS in Carteret, NJ.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 11am to 8pm
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
Input accurate and timely data into operating system
Track and trace shipments
Manage department’s ocean onforwarding workboard
Work directly with warehouse employees to ensure certain shipments are prioritized, based on department and customer needs
Ensure timely dispatch of cargo, to meet customer’s delivery requirements
Interact with other Expeditors offices, with exceptional customer service
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors (trucking, terminals, and others)
Respond timely to E-mail requests and phone calls
Understand department process flow, while constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
Ensure customer’s standard operating procedures are being followed and updated in the DLSOP
Understand and meet KPI standard, as per the company’s procedures
Meet company standard of 52 hours training per year
Promote compliance by diligently following all company policies and regulations while performing the tasks at hand, with outstanding integrity and pride

Knowledge/ Skills:
Bachelor's degree or Work Experience Equivelant
