WHOM WE SEEK:The Director of Facilities oversees the physical plant operations of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (SMAA) and Saint Michael Episcopal School (SMES). This role will work with leadership to determine short and long-term goals for the facilities department, project management/construction of the facilities, and oversight of personnel and systems providing for the safety, comfort, security, maintenance, cleaning, setup/takedown, and grounds.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversight of the Assistant Director of Facilities, Sextons, Contractors, and SubcontractorsOversee all life safety/fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds to ensure compliance with relevant city, state, and national codes, benchmarks, and best practices.Fully implement all standard operating procedures, including a preventative maintenance schedule and logDevelop, supervise, and implement emergency response and security protocols for property and lifeDevelop and conduct training programs to train the Facilities team in the installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipmentProvide support for all maintenance and construction projectsManage vendor relationships; regularly review and negotiate new contractsProvide church leaders with all relevant building operations and maintenance reporting for sound decision-makingAssure grounds are manicured and in good order at all timesMaintain the indoor and outdoor ColumbariumsServe as a resource for the staff regarding building operations and maintenanceAdvise, support, and respond to the Building and Grounds CommitteeMaintain Safeguarding requirements that ensure a safe church environment for all persons, especially children, youth, and vulnerable personsProduce and manage an annual budget for Facilities to serve the needs of SMAAMaintain operational support of SMES
