TSC is seeking a
Logistics Manager
based in the
DC Metro area . This position will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and execution of the company's logistics operations for its domestic and international shipments. This role ensures that all local logistics functions align with corporate objectives and drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across the organization. This role can be partially remote while being onsite at our Crystal City, VA office for meetings as needed.
Responsibilities to Anticipate Will Include:
Prepare and review export /import documentation for all international shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.Oversee and manage logistics operations, focusing on validating and ensuring that all CONUS and OCONUS shipments comply with trade and company insurance requirements.Maintain screening policies, procedures, and guidance, assist in the development and execution of an enhanced screening workflow, and provide related training to applicable organizations.Monitor and conduct business risk assessments related to developing sanctions and export controls, including reviewing updated export controls and newly designated parties under applicable sanctions.Maintain record keeping requirements according 15 CFR Part §762 (EAR) & 22 CFR Part §122(ITAR) for controlled activities, for audit purposes.Maintain, track and manage shipments associated with export licenses and related imports, ensuring all shipments comply with applicable international trade laws and regulations.Provide leadership for long-term planning of logistics, optimizing local resources across the supply chain, transportation, and facilities to achieve strategic goals.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance of logistics operations, insurance compliance, and export activities across the company.Regularly report on logistics performance, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and strategic initiatives.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 or more years of industry experience.US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Proficient understanding of export control laws, including but not limited to International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and dual use items.Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in international logistics operations and familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance requirement.Hands-on experience in logistics software, including AES and OCR EASE.Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and willing to take on challenges and provide viable solutions.Experience working closely with insurance providers, freight forwarders and carriers pertaining to domestic and international shipments.Background with leadership roles strongly preferredStrong commitment to compliance and integrity
