Position Summary:This position is an excellent opportunity to join the Investment Accounting Team in New York City. The role involves accounting, financial analysis, and collaborative projects aimed at optimizing finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Product Analysis:Gain in-depth exposure to financial products and financial statements.Engage in regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Accounting & Reporting:Prepare detailed accounting records and workpapers.Monitor capital activity, report on held investments, and perform mark-to-market assessments.
Collaborative Data Projects:Assist with data projects aimed at improving finance processes and increasing efficiency.Work alongside finance professionals, sharing analytical insights across departments.
Communication & Collaboration:Foster productive relationships with diverse teams across the firm.Clearly communicate complex financial information in an accessible manner to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience & Skills:1-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within investment management or finance.Proficiency with accounting systems and a strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel.Familiarity with financial markets and investment products.
Soft Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, with an aptitude for time management.Ability to analyze data and present findings within deadlines.Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-building abilities.
Motivation & Accountability:Self-motivated with a commitment to producing positive results.Detail-oriented and accountable for assigned responsibilities.
