Gryphon Environmental is seeking a full-time individual for the position of Data Analyst well versed in SharePoint server-side programming, REST, SOAP, and other SharePoint APIs and Microsoft applications in direct support to the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) 88th Readiness Division information Management Office (IMO).
The Data Analyst supports the Data Analytics and Business Automation Laboratory (DABAL), which is responsible for the day-to-day operations to help advance Knowledge Management strategic goals in assessing, designing, developing, piloting, and implementing data and out of the box software solutions to enhance unification in interoperability, minimize duplication of efforts, and enhance effective readiness solutions.
Essential Functions
Create, maintain and enhance command resources and backend lists.
Provide analytical reporting metrics to cover possible system gaps.
Adhere to command security settings.
Verify and approve data models.
Build reports based off command need.
Assist end users with technical problems.
Validate and assist in systems educational documents.
Attend meetings and conferences in person, over the phone, or on Microsoft Teams.
Periodic travel required.
Qualifications (Education and Skills)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience can be a substitute.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in data analysis in a business setting.
Sufficient in data analysis tools like Python, R, SQL.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar software.
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills:
Formulas.
Pivot Tables.
Data charts.
Power App Development experience.
Attention to detail for data analysis.
Ability to understand, clean and connect large data sets.
Experience working with large data sets.
Strong Problem-Solving skills.
Able to understand complex data set problems and devise a solution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create analysis reports to help drive business decisions.
Able to perform under ever changing business needs.
Ability to learn new things and research the newest technologies and software.
Any ability to train or educate others is a bonus.
