Events & Operations Internship Summary:
The D.C. United Operations team is looking for talented, hardworking undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to enter the professional sports industry to join us as interns for the spring semester of the 2025 season. Interns will have the opportunity to assist and learn about full-stadium operation and corporate/entertainment events throughout the duration of the internship, including but not limited to Soccer matches including D.C. United, Washington Spirit, and DC Power FC, UFL games, and International Friendlies.
Events and Operations Interns will be exposed to the four branches of the Audi Field Operations Department during the course of the internship - Game Operations, Event/Stadium Operations, Guest Experience, and Security. Interns will report directly to the Operations Managers to assist and shadow day-to-day tasks of the club and support the full life cycle of various events during the internship.
Audi Field internships are for college credit only. The internship allows individuals to gain valuable experience with a professional organization while getting exposure to working in an events and operations role.
Internship Duration : February 7th - May 16th, 2025
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(including but not limited to the following):Assist with event management, set-up/breakdown for all full-stadium events and corporate/entertainment events.Assist with office maintenance projects, maintaining company equipment and event spaces, equipment storage and inventory.Assist with the accreditation of full-time staff and match day personnel.Assist with furniture sets and flips between various events.Support the planning, logistics, and execution of various stadium and event operational projects.Assist Operations Coordinators with tasks related to stadium set up and the game day event operations/guest experience staff.Create and distribute match specific accreditation for vendors and partners.Shadow Operations Managers to gain a full understanding of event day responsibilities.Assist event operations staff with supervision of the Fan Engagement Programs.Supervise concourse activations set up and breakdown.Requirements:
