POSITION SUMMARY:

D.C. Soccer, LLC is seeking a Security Director for Audi Field. The Security Director will lead the security operations team on a daily basis and in the event of a crisis that would disrupt the continuity of the organization's safe and secure business operations. This could include, but is not limited to, natural disasters, workplace violence, facility emergencies, unruly patrons, fire and issues of serious injury or illness. Responsible for overseeing Audi Field's in-house security and surveillance staff as well as the venue's event-security operations team, the Director of Security serves as a senior member of the stadium operations department and provides subject matter expertise and guidance to Audi Field's general manager. This position is required to manage and maintain all financial and budgetary components of the security operations team.

This position requires advanced knowledge of computer operating systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite, C-Cure, Asure ID and Avigilon Control Center 7, among other systems. This position requires specialized training and physical conditioning. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. The Director of Security position will serve on call as needed to handle emergency situations outside of normal business hours and requires the utmost trust and confidence while working in high-pressure, high-profile environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct a team of 3-5 full-time administrative colleagues within the security operations team as well as 20+ members of the in-house physical security group responsible for the safety and security of Audi Field.Maintain the good standing status of Audi Field's existing security agency and liaise with the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection to ensure the DC Soccer LLC is in compliance with all city ordinances regarding the venue's security officers and special police officersProvide oversight of all security operations for all full-stadium events and other special events at Audi Field, including management of all third-party safety and security providers and other security resources.Responsible for tracking and planning all budgetary requirements for the Security Division's third-party safety and security providers and provides routine financial updates to Audi Field's General Manager throughout the course of the year.Foster and enhance Audi Field's existing law enforcement and military relationships in the National Capitol RegionSupport the broader Operations Department with cross-discipline responsibilities, including city-wide stakeholder management for the efficient execution of complex multi-day events in/around Audi FieldManage Audi Field's relationship with the venue's FanDuel Sportsbook to include oversight off all safety and security minimum standards as needed and required by the Office of Lottery and GamingDevelop and maintain annual budget for security department, including 24/7 in-house security team staffing levels and all physical security needs for both event-day security operations and day-to-day venue security.Assess, review and approve all access control, including matchday accreditation and daily building access ID badges at Audi Field and the Inova Performance Complex (IPC).Communicates effectively with the security and surveillance teams between Audi Field and IPC.Remains flexible to ever changing environment; adapts well to different situationsReports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing, while identifying immediate safety and security needs and providing proactive solutions to mediate risk within Audi FieldHandles security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Contacts Emergency Services, such as MPD, DC FEMS, DC HSEMA, FBI, United States Capitol Police, etc.Fully embraces security/safety training programs to enhance their ability to advance in their careersParticipates in industry specific security/safety training programsPatrolling premises regularly to maintain order and establish presenceMonitoring and authorizing entrance of vehicles or people on the propertyRemoving wrongdoers or trespassers from the premisesSecure all exits, doors, and windows after end of operationsProvide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employeesWrite reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrencesAct as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radiosAct as a first responder in emergency situations and render appropriate first aid to injured persons and following established protocol for reporting injuriesAssist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation proceduresMaintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipmentMust be willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, and varying shiftsPerform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or greater in sports management, criminal justice and/or related field preferredPrevious security, military, or law enforcement experience preferredMust be age 21 or older and qualify for a DC OLG Occupational LicenseMust have no felony convictionsMust possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelinesMust be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwritingMust be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructionsAs a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol testAs a condition of continued employment, employee must always maintain current active status of all required license(s), and must always carry the license(s) while on dutyIntermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at VenuesAbility to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standardNeat and professional appearanceAbility to provide quality customer service• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the Venues, calmly and efficiently

Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving, and receiving instructions, using phonesRequired to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employmentHave the ability to write incident reports and to effectively present information in a one- on-one or small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/downstairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

Anticipated pay : $85,000 - $95,000
