About Us:
We're an RNA therapeutics company using a new class of RNA to develop disease-activated, precision medicines from influenza to colorectal cancers.
Imagine taking a drug (or chemotherapy) that only targets your diseased cells--with no off-target effects.
We're looking for out-of-the-box and passionate scientists to join our growing team of scientists and engineers in our 18,000 square facility in Rockville, Maryland.
About You:
You're a creative and rigorous biologist who wants to help develop next-generation therapeutics from viruses to cancers.
You would join a growing team of Ph.D. trained scientists and report directly to the CSO and Head of R&D.
You should have a Ph.D. and expertise in
ONE or more
of the following areas:
Nucleic Acid Biology:
expertise developing RNA or DNA medicines (in any field) or expertise probing/modulating fundamental processes of transcription or translation.
Synthetic Biology:
expertise with methods for engineering novel DNA or RNA circuits.
Gene Therapy or Delivery:
experience developing cutting-edge approaches to gene (or cell) delivery from viral vectors to non-viral approaches (e.g. lipid nanoparticles).
Virology:
expertise probing viral biology or developing novel antivirals.
Cancers:
expertise developing novel cancer medicines whether cell therapies, immunotherapies or other approaches.
Cell Biology:
design and validation of high-throughput, cell-based assays to identify novel therapeutic candidates.
Your area of specific expertise (from immunology to synthetic biology) is less important to us than your capabilities and passion for scientific discovery!
We can also teach you cutting-edge robotics and AI. Our engineering team also designs state-of-the-art robotic systems to test the safety and efficacy of therapeutics in-house.
