Desktop Support Technician
Location:
Nashua, NH
Contract:
7 months (potential for extension or direct hire; temp-to-perm goal)
Pay Rate:
$33-35.97/hour with optional PTO
Schedule:
9x80, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (some overtime expected)
Travel:
Local travel between Nashua, Merrimack, and Manchester sites
Onboarding Requirements:
Background check and drug screening
Position Description
The Desktop Support Technician will:Provide support for computer users, including hardware, software, and network installations to meet personal computer needsConduct Windows 11 upgrades and deploy replacement machinesDiagnose and troubleshoot issues with single or multiple systems, which may involve coordinating with vendorsPerform diagnostic reviews and create error reports as needed to resolve issuesSupport computer-related projects, policy implementation, and studies in the assigned areaAssist in developing standardized operational management reports to identify and address system issuesResearch and analyze hardware/software options, making recommendations and providing purchasing information to meet user needsDiagnose and resolve moderate end-user issues with hardware/software, including remote access softwareSet up new computers and coordinate workstation upgrades or replacementsAssist with the deployment of new software platformsTrack user requests and maintain complete case histories, verifying resolution before closing casesProvide Tier-1 support during peak hours and high-demand situations after necessary trainingRequired Skills
Proficiency in M365/O365 migrations (mandatory)Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions; Intune preferred (other platforms acceptable)Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and terminologyBasic problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred Skills
Familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing systemExperience with Palo Alto VPN application in desktop supportRequired Experience
4 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma, or2 years of experience with an Associate's Degree or Technical School Certificate
