Lead and manage a team of attorneys and support staff within the MVA/Premises practice groupOversee all aspects of personal injury litigation, including case investigation, filing, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trialRepresent clients in high-stakes personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, product liability, premises liability, and negligent security mattersDevelop case strategies, oversee litigation processes, and ensure adherence to deadlinesWork directly with clients, co-counsel, and other attorneys in a collaborative team environmentConduct settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrationsParticipate in trial preparation and courtroom representation, including post-trial motionsLead business development initiatives and help grow the firm's client baseEnsure high standards of legal service and client care, maintaining ethical and professional integrityParticipate in firm meetings, including partner-level discussionsOversee the vetting of potential cases and team projectionsManage and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, ensuring effective team operations and performanceRequirements
Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience in personal injury law, with proven trial experienceStrong background in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and catastrophic injury casesDemonstrated ability to lead a legal team and manage complex cases from inception to trialExcellent research, writing, and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle high-stakes litigation in federal and state courtsStrong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to litigationCommitment to social justice and a client-centered approachWillingness to travel as needed for case mattersProven ability to work well in a collaborative team environmentEducation
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission to the Illinois Bar and Northern District of Illinois (Required)Skills
