SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented color specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for color, strong technical skills, and a passion for ensuring color consistency and accuracy across various mediums. The role involves collaborating with designers and production team members to achieve desired color outcomes for manufactured wallcovering products.
This position celebrates the process of creating and provides the freedom towork hands on with an energetic group. This lighthearted team enjoys the challenge of creating custom patterns and colors for unique customer centric projects. It provides the ability to be creative and be a part of bringing beautiful new products to the market.
Koroseal Interior Products is a leading manufacturer in commercial vinyl wallcoverings. This is a full-time, entry level position in the Design Studio creating new designs, the primary workload is mixing ink colors by eye to develop protypes. While other techniques can be utilized, the main technique for creating samples is screen printing on vinyl.
In this Position, you will have the Opportunity to:
Ink Matching:
Precisely match colors of inks to ensure high quality and consistency in wallcovering prototype development, contributing to the creation of visually stunning and reliable products. Advanced Printing Techniques:
Utilize various printing techniques, including silk screens, to produce exceptional prints, contributing to innovative and creative projects. Detailed Embossing:
Apply textures to the prototypes using specialized plates, adding a tactile dimension to our products, enhancing their appeal. Quality-Driven Productivity:
Manage work assignments, prioritize tasks and maintain high-quality standards to meet deadlines and productivity goals set by the Studio Coordinator and Design Lab Supervisor. What You Need to Succeed in this Position:
A High School diploma. An associate degree in graphic design or related field of discipline is preferred. Familiarity with printing processes and workflows is a plus. Strong understanding of color theory, color acuity, must pass a color perception and hue test. Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for color differences. Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving color accuracy. This position may require working in a studio, lab, or production environments. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to think and work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills are preferred. Must be pro-active and motivated. Display and demonstrate a professional and ethical work attitude. Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and overtime. Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
