DescriptionThe Network Analyst/Tech is a central university office position that supports the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network services and devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the Network Operations Center, monitor critical processes for Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications, monitor data downloads to ensure job completions, and address interruptions and failures.

Interact with others to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Maintain 24 x 7 coverage and support, including on-call support, to assist with restoring service and maintaining agreed upon service levels.

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network services and devices.

Interact with customers to resolve network issues.

Perform inspections and upgrades.

Develop and maintain documentation.

Demonstrate strong technical aptitude regarding troubleshooting and testing activities related to network services.

Perform troubleshooting, testing, scripting, and coding.

Assist with systems, provide support without direction, and support modifications/changes to configuration.

Report to the NOC Manager, or the Run or Build Manager of Network Services.

Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An associate's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and two years of related IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
